What is synchronized skating?

 

 

Synchronized skating is a team sport in which 9 to 16 skaters perform a skating routine to music on ice. As the fastest growing figure skating in Australia and across the world, synchronized skating combines strength, power, endurance, technique and flexibility. Characterised by team work, steps in union and defined formations, teams of all levels perform a free skating program with required well balanced program elements. Teams competing at a junior or senior level additional perform a shot program.
